Sencha Tea

Single Estate Green Tea

Known for its fresh, vegetal flavour and bright green liquor, Sencha is one of the most celebrated styles of green tea. Made from steamed and rolled young tea leaves, it captures a natural sweetness with balanced umami richness and grassy crispness. Its harmony of mild astringency and gentle sweetness creates a refined and refreshing cup, making it a favourite among green tea enthusiasts.

Sencha can be enjoyed hot for a soothing, aromatic experience or cold-brewed for a smooth, naturally sweet iced tea. Best savoured on its own, but it also pairs beautifully with light meals, sushi, or citrus-based flavours.

Ingredients

100% Organic Green Tea.

Flavour Notes:

  • Aroma: Fresh and vegetal, with grassy and slightly oceanic umami notes.
  • Flavour: Smooth and crisp, with bright grassy freshness, umami depth, and a hint of natural sweetness.
  • Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering umami and mild astringency.
  • Pairing: Enjoy on its own or with sushi, seafood, rice dishes, or light citrus-based snacks. Excellent for daily sipping.

Origin Story:

Sencha originated in Japan in the 18th century and quickly became the most widely consumed green tea in the country. Steamed and rolled to preserve its vibrant freshness, Sencha is deeply rooted in Japanese tea culture, valued for its delicate balance of umami, sweetness, and refreshing crispness.
