Keemun Tea

Single Estate Black Tea

Keemun Black Tea is a distinguished Chinese black tea from Qimen County in Anhui Province, known for its smooth, complex flavour and naturally sweet undertones. This premium tea has a deep, reddish-brown liquor, offering subtle notes of cocoa, dried plum, and honey, with a gentle smoky finish. Keemun's refined taste and mild astringency make it one of the most sought-after black teas, often used in premium English Breakfast blends for its rich depth and smoothness.

Keemun is best enjoyed on its own to appreciate its intricate flavour profile, though it pairs well with light pastries and dark chocolate. Its smooth, slightly floral and malty character makes it an excellent choice for both morning and afternoon tea.

Ingredients

100% Organic Black Tea.

Flavour Notes:

  • Aroma: Warm and toasty with hints of cocoa, dried fruit, and soft smokiness.
  • Flavour: Smooth and slightly sweet, with notes of dark chocolate, dried plum, and a touch of malt.
  • Finish: Long and mellow, with a lingering natural sweetness and soft smokiness.
  • Pairing: Best enjoyed on its own or paired with light pastries, dark chocolate, or mild cheeses. Avoid milk to preserve its delicate notes.

Origin Story:

Keemun Black Tea was first produced in the late 19th century and quickly gained a reputation as one of China’s finest black teas. Its careful processing, which includes slow oxidation and meticulous rolling, enhances its complex aroma and smooth flavour. Today, Keemun remains a favourite among tea connoisseurs for its refined taste and rich history.
