Irish Breakfast Tea

Irish Breakfast Tea

House Blended Black Tea

Irish Breakfast Tea is a strong, full-bodied black tea blend, traditionally featuring a high proportion of Assam tea for its deep maltiness and bold character. This rich tea has a brisk, slightly astringent flavour with hints of toasted grain and a smooth finish. Stronger than English Breakfast, it was crafted to be enjoyed with milk, complementing its robust and hearty profile. Its distinct depth and strength have made it a long-standing favourite for morning tea drinkers.

Perfect for those who enjoy a strong, satisfying cup, Irish Breakfast Tea pairs exceptionally well with a hearty breakfast. It can be enjoyed black for a bold, malty experience or with milk and sugar for a smooth and richly flavoured brew.

Irish Breakfast Tea became popular in the 19th century as a stronger alternative to English Breakfast Tea, designed to complement Ireland’s rich dairy culture.
