Earl Grey Tea — Orange Pekoe Grade 1

Single Estate Black Tea

A distinguished black tea infused with the essence of bergamot, a fragrant citrus fruit. This well-balanced blend pairs the rich, full-bodied depth of black tea with the bright, floral, and slightly zesty notes of bergamot oil. Originating in the 19th century and named after British Prime Minister Charles Grey, this tea has remained a global favourite for its invigorating aroma, refined taste, and smooth, subtly malty character.

A versatile tea, Earl Grey can be enjoyed black, with a splash of milk, or with a slice of lemon for added zest. Its bright yet soothing profile makes it a perfect choice for morning or afternoon tea, pairing well with pastries, citrus-based desserts, and creamy foods.

Ingredients

100% Organic Black Tea with Bergamot Oil.

Flavour Notes:

  • Aroma: Bright and citrusy, with floral bergamot notes and malty black tea undertones.
  • Flavour: Rich and smooth black tea with crisp, fragrant bergamot.
  • Finish: Refreshing and clean, with lingering citrus and soft tannins.
  • Pairing: Complements scones, shortbread, citrus cakes, and creamy desserts. Enjoy black, with milk, or with a twist of lemon.

Origin Story:

Earl Grey’s origins date back to the early 1800s when it was reportedly gifted to Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey. The distinctive flavour comes from bergamot, a fragrant citrus fruit grown in Italy and France. Over time, this tea has become synonymous with sophistication and elegance, enjoyed by tea lovers worldwide.
