Darjeeling Tea

Single Estate Black Tea

Darjeeling Black Tea is a world-renowned tea grown in the misty Himalayan foothills of India. Harvested at high altitudes, this premium tea develops a light, crisp body with distinctive muscatel notes, subtle floral undertones, and a hint of stone fruit. Unlike other black teas, Darjeeling undergoes a gentle oxidation process, preserving its delicate complexity. Each flush — First, Second, or Autumn — offers a unique character, making it a prized choice for tea connoisseurs.

With its refined, aromatic profile, Darjeeling is best enjoyed without milk to appreciate its layered flavours. It pairs beautifully with light pastries, fruit, and mild cheeses, making it a versatile tea for any time of day.

Ingredients

100% Organic Black Tea.

Flavour Notes:

  • Aroma: Floral and fruity, with muscatel grape and light woody notes.
  • Flavour: Bright and crisp, with layered muscatel sweetness, floral hints, and subtle spice.
  • Finish: Clean and refreshing, with a lingering floral and fruity complexity.
  • Pairing: Perfect on its own or paired with light pastries, mild cheeses, fresh fruit, or tea cakes. Avoid milk to preserve its delicate notes.

Origin Story:

Darjeeling Tea has been cultivated in the Himalayan foothills since the 19th century, gaining its reputation as the "Champagne of Teas" due to its unique terroir and complex flavour. The cool climate, high elevation, and misty conditions slow the tea’s growth, allowing the leaves to develop their signature muscatel character. Protected by a Geographical Indication (GI) status, only tea grown in Darjeeling can carry its prestigious name.
